Google Ghosts – a poem between Google algorithms and me
Alexandrina Hemsley is an independent choreographer/performer/occasional writer. She makes work that aims to reclaim her identity as a mixed-race woman and tries to engage with the various cultural frameworks that mark, violate and subjugate her body on her own terms. Her practice is largely collaborative working with Jamila Johnson-Small (Project O) and Rosie Heafford and Helena Webb (Dad Dancing). Most recently she has collaborated with Katarzyna Perlak on a photography series called Bounty Bars and Oreo Cookies.
